Abstract
Web services framework has evolved as an emerging distributed middleware technology that uses a simple XML-based protocol to allow heterogeneous applications to exchange data across the Web. It provides a loose coupled and implementation neutral infrastructure for distributed applications. On the other hand, multi-agent autonomic architectures have evolved to provide self-management in the software system by using specialized reusable software components (agents) acting on behalf of users, devices and applications to provide transparent interfaces between different entities in the environment. In this paper, we propose using agent as Web service with multi-agent autonomic architecture. This would help in providing self-aware, self-manageable, highly available, extremely reliable and mobile Web services known as agent services.
