  • Abstract
After a comprehensive analysis of tectonic activity, topography, exogenic geological disasters and human activity, we select 10 factors to evaluate quality of geological environment of the Pearl River Delta. In order to increase the resolution of our model, we employ Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to calculate the weight of these factors and employ the spatial analysis module in GIS to build up the membership of factors on quality of geological environment in spatial frame. Then we apply Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation and estabilish the evaluation model for quality of geological environment in the delta region of Pearl River, and suggest that the area of good accounte for 4.27%, the rather good and rather poor region accounte 30.13% and 43.52% respectively, and the poor region accounte for 21.63%.
