  • Abstract
Nowadays, location-based services are widely utilized, including identifying user locations, offering traffic status, providing point of interest (POI) information, and guiding routes. At present, users always make use of location-based services via smart phones, and can obtain information anywhere and anytime. However, users easily receive information in which they were not interested. This kind of information occupied the small size screen and the limited network bandwidth, so the users could not easily acquire the information that they really need. Therefore, we proposed an approach that focuses on location-based information and location-based service to address above issues. Using the proposed approach, location-based information and location-based service will be delivered according to the user context, and the information and service results will be shown on the smart phone. The proposed approach can mine service usage patterns based on the service type model, location visiting records, and service utilization records, as well as suggest suitable information and services based on service usage patterns to realize active and personalized service delivery.
