Abstract
A population of 28 healthy volunteers was examined in order to compare short- and long-term reproducibility of time domain, spectral temporal mapping and spectral turbulence analyses of signal averaged ECG. The study confirmed that the reproducibility of the time-domain analysis is high, especially when using 40 Hz high-pass filter. Similar results were obtained for frequency measured durations of total QRS complex and terminal low power region. Reproducibility of spectral turbulence analysis exploring the entire QRS complex gives also satisfactory results, but spectral turbulence analysis restricted to the low power region is less reproducible. The reproducibility of spectral temporal mapping which combines frequency domain with time measurements is poor
