  • Abstract
This paper introduces the way of plasma production by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) method, we did desulphurization experiment before the coal combustion without adding any chemical additives. The experimental results show that when the input voltage is 15 ~ 20kV, the desulfurization effect come to the best, and the discharge is fully; desulfurization ratio reaches 17.6% (total sulfur). As voltage increased, there is no significantly improvement of desulfurization. We did re-analysis to the discharge waveform data Based on mathematical statistics, the result reveals the deep reasons that the coal which is placed on the electrode has a better desulphurization effect than that placed between the electrodes.
