  • Abstract
    In this paper, experiments of a kind of SMA wire are carried out for shape memory effect and the shape memory effect under different temperatures are discussed in detail. Then, a mathematic model of stress-strain of SMA wires is proposed and corresponding model parameters are determined. A new SMA actuator is brought forward and its design formula and control strategy are explained. The construct of the actuator is designed and the variance of effectiveness with the main parameters of the devices is calculated in detail. In addition, reasonable values for the parameters of SMA actuator are given. We also present a simulation scheme for deflection control of the SMA actuator. Based on this method, a simulation was designed and the result is satisfied with the experiment.
