Abstract
An equipment health state evaluation system (EHSES) composes of a health monitoring system and a health evaluation software system. Design of the system is a key phase of implementing PHM, which has great impact on efficiency and effectiveness of PHM. To this end, the problem related to EHSES designing was studied in this paper, and the system configuration of EHSES was proposed. A general process of EHSES design was presented, where the methods of fault mode effect and criticality analysis (FMECA) and reliability centered maintenance (RCMA) are integrated. Models were developed for evaluating the system in terms of efficiency and benefit of the system implementation. The structure of software system is presented, which mainly consists of five functional modules, including data management, residual life forecast, health state evaluation, maintenance decision-making and system management.
