Abstract
When a time reversal mirror (TRM) is laid outside a slotted rectangle metal cavity, the focusing characteristics of time-reversed electromagnetic (EM) wave in the cavity are first studied in this paper. The time reversal (TR) focusing and pseudo focusing occur simultaneously in the initial symmetrical environment. By means of embedding the scatters and adjusting the slot position, two effective ways to eliminate the pseudo focusing are proposed. This research may have great benefits to the source imaging in a quasi-closed environment.
