Abstract
This paper presents an imaging of bonding state at an interface between bonded solid-solid structure using CAN(contact acoustic nonlinearity) parameter which is extracted by a scanning focused acoustic beam. The paper introduces the relationship between CAN parameter and bonding strength in theory and shows the experimental results of using both CAN parameter and fundamental signal. From the experimental result, it is clearly to see that a contour of bonding strength could be described by the imaging due to the CAN parameter including the information of bonding strength. However the imaging using fundamental signal is difficult to explain anything about the bonding state.
