Model of Server Cluster System Based on Mobile Agent

Cluster is one of the most popular techniques to resolve the problem, in which the scalability of Internet servers is becoming more and more important. However, as well known, Web server cluster schemes have a lot of disadvantages, such as lack of self-organization, existing bottleneck of system. This paper proposes a model of server cluster based on mobile agent. To develop the capability of load-reassignment of servers, and the server cluster is turned into a structured peer-to-peer network in this scheme. In this scheme, there is a structure called Load Domain, and the whole load on the cluster is distributed to a number of load domains. This paper introduces the whole idea of design for the cluster, the system architecture, and special functions in a mobile agent system.
