Abstract
Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system is a new type and high efficient bus operator system, whose transportation capacity is close to the rail transportation, and has rapid construction speed, also can retrench the investigation. This paper introduced the intelligent control strategy which is basically realized by the Dispatching Control Center located in the Central Station. With the help of GPS system, the Central Station can monitor the situation of each station, and learn all information about the location of the vehicle, the situation inside it and the arriving time, etc. The whole running situation of BRT system can be viewed at a glance over the central monitoring screen. Modern and intelligent operation and management is thus realized via advanced computer and communication technologies. And then the paper introduces the simulation technology to realize the traffic control strategy based on the BRT vehicle priority. Finally, the paper presents the case study of those theories.
