Abstract
The paper presents an analysis of the application of reconfigurable computing for vector control systems of AC drives. The reconfigurable vector control system is presented and they treat the reconfiguration problems. We analyze the reconfigurable control system and the need for reconfiguration in motor control is motivated. The control of the induction motor fed by the tandem inverter is analyzed from the point of view of starting and the differences when starting the drive fed by one or by two converters. Finally simulation results are presented using fast prototyping method for implementation in field programmable gate arrays
