  • Abstract
    CMMB (China Multimedia Mobile Broadcast) is the Chinese mobile broadcast standard and TD-SCDMA (Time Division-Synchronization Code Division Multiple Access) is the Chinese 3G standard. This paper proposes a novel algorithm for improving the reception quality of CMMB by utilizing TD-SCDMA networks. The proposed algorithm is based on the proposed novel converged network architecture by combining CMMB and TD-SCDMA networks through a node called Management Center. After detail description of the proposed network architecture and the proposed algorithm, the performances of the algorithm are analyzed and the results have shown the feasibility of the architecture and the algorithm. As conclusion, the issues to be considered and the future work are briefly presented.
