Abstract
A new kind of wireless network dynamic rate handoff algorithm based on LBS (location-based services) information is presented in this paper. We judge the forthcoming data handoff call and reserve channels for data handoff traffic on the basis of LBS information and signal change vector. The results of the simulation show that call drop probability (CDP) reduces, utility probability increases, and the new handoff algorithm improves the QoS of the wireless call admission control (CAC) system.
