  • Abstract
    In this study, we characterized a fiber-optic scintillating detector for high energy electron beam therapy. Fiber-optic radiation detector is fabricated using an organic scintillator. With this detector, we measured intensities of lights at different field sizes, electron beam energies and monitor units of a CLINAC. Also the intensity of Cerenkov light is measured and characterized as a function of incident angle of electron beam. As a measuring device, a photodiode-amplifier system is used, and a subtraction method using a background optical fiber is investigated to remove a Cerenkov light.
