  • Abstract
    This paper analyzed trends in protection relay system. A scheme of the protection for transmission networks using agent technology is outlined on the basis of computer technology, network technology and AI technology. The project consists of distributed equipment combined with a communication network to cooperate in realization protection functions. The system´s structure and function model of agent are discussed. Multi-agent´s cooperation and communication mechanism are also introduced so as to supply a new path for intelligent protection relay system.
