Abstract
The feasibility of fiber busing using multiple-fiber paths is discussed. Types of fiber-optic cables and their performance are described. It is shown how to compute the important performance parameters of a fiber-optic link, namely, the coupling and attenuation of signals, the rise time, and the frequency response. The geometrical shapes of fiber termination that maximize the optical coupling are considered
