Abstract
Nowadays, positioning systems are required for scientific, medical and industrial applications. A novel electromagnetic (EM) compatible positioning system with large moving range is presented. The design is a computer-controlled three axis position system which mechanical parts are built of EM-compatible materials like wood and Nylamid to avoid EM-interference during electromagnetic experiments. Stepping motors produce the system motion when a controller circuit translates and processes the direction user that is indicated through a computer interface.
