  • Abstract
    In this paper a novel method is presented, which derives induction motor (IM) parameters based on the equivalent network of the machine. The approach combines skin effect and saturation of the stator and rotor leakage paths, modelling rotor parameters as a function of the slip. Application of the method to a number of practical IM for which full specification data were available, has produced very satisfactory results
