  • Abstract
Proprioceptive simulation algorithm which also named washout algorithm is one of key factors on effecting simulator fidelity. To overcome the deficiencies of present proprioceptive simulation algorithms such as classical washout algorithm applied to locomotive driving simulator, a new washout algorithm based on fuzzy control is proposed in this paper. Combined with characters of motion perception and actual movement of train, the fuzzy control rules of motion perception were designed. The motion perception of simulator driver was adjusted in real time according to the sense error of driver between in the real train and in its simulator, and the input of real motion perception model. By utilizing MATLAB software, the movement simulation based on fuzzy control washout algorithm was studied. The simulation results show the rationality and advantage of fuzzy control based on washout algorithm for enhancing fidelity of simulator.
