Results of the application of a quality assessment procedure to different building energy management systems

In this paper we present a procedure developed to assess the quality of building energy management systems (BEMS). To apply this procedure, the system to be tested is connected to a building emulator. This emulator consists of a numerical building and heating systems. The use of such an emulator makes it possible to perform detailed and reproducible tests on a wide range of BEMS functions like optimal start stop, boilers sequencing controllers, alarms management, etc. The paper presents the emulator, the procedure and results obtained in applying it to four different systems
