Abstract
A robust minimal order state observer is proposed for bilinear systems with unknown inputs. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the existence of the observer. Based on this observer, a residual generator of a fault detection scheme is designed for bilinear systems. Robustness of the residual to the unknown inputs is achieved. The method is applied to a hydraulic test rig and some simulation results are given
