Abstract
The resonance rayleigh scatterting (RRS) spectrum of 3-(4´-methylphenyl)-5-(4´-methyl-2´- sulfophenylazo) rhodanine and bovine serum albumin (BSA) in the BR (Britton-Robinson) buffer solution at pH 2.3 was studied with the presence of SDS microemulsion. It was found the RRS intensity of M4MRASP and that of BSA is weak respectively, but sharply enhanced when the two compounded. The RRS intensity was strong at the wavelengh range of 380~400 nm and the maximum scattering intensity was obtained at lambdaex=lambdaem=394 nm. The concenrtration of BSA is linear with M4MRASP in the range of 0.01-2.0 mug/mL with a detection limit of 3.52times10-9 g/mL. The method was applied to determination of BSA in real samples with satisfactory result.
