Abstract
THz time-domain spectroscopy was applied to the thickness measurements of multi-layer paint of automobiles. The thickness of three layers could be estimated from the waveforms and the values showed good agreement with those obtained by electromagnetic thickness tester. Drying processes after coating were possibly monitored.
