Abstract
This work studies two different numerical methodologies for the generation of regular gravity waves. Numerical simulations for the wave generation were performed with the FLUENT® package, using the multiphase Volume of Fluid (VOF) model to reproduce the wave propagation inside the tank. Therefore, it was possible to analyze two methodologies for regular wave generation that could be used in future works, mainly in the study of devices for sea wave energy conversion in electric energy.
