Abstract
Dynamic charging is a scenario that electric vehicles (EVs) is powered while running on wireless power transfer (WPT) transmitter-embedded road. The displacement between transmitter and receiver of a wireless power transfer system determines the efficiency and transmitted power. This paper proposes a method to estimate lateral displacement from vehicle to a transmitter using signal from receiver side and motion sensors. This paper applies the Unscented Kalman filter (UKF). The estimation method is validated by simulation and experiment with an actual electric vehicle.
