  • Abstract
    Magneto-rheological fluid is a new kind of intelligent materials, which consist of soft magnetic particles and stabilizer suspending in a carrying fluid, and it has a broad development prospect in engineering application. This paper introduces the characteristics of magneto-rheological fluid, the mechanism of magneto-rheological effect and the research status of magneto-rheological technology in detail, and it systematically describes magneto-rheological technology application in building, automobile, machinery, medicine and aviation field. At last, the future trends of magneto-rheological technique are also discussed.
