  • Abstract
A general analysis of quadrature and crosstalk errors in vector-voltmeter circuits is presented. The two error sources can be separated and quantitatively determined if the periodic phase-error function of the detector is available. Several schemes for determining the phase-error function of a vector-voltmeter are discussed. A self-calibrating error-detection principle is proposed which needs no reference standard and eliminates mismatch error effects
