Abstract
A study is made of the electric breakdown behavior of SF6 gas at lower pressure and the relation between breakdown voltage and pressure from 1 to 3×105 Pa, different gaps, and different shapes of electrodes. These experimental data, formulas, and conclusions can be used for the design of insulation structures for electric apparatus with SF6 insulation at lower pressure
