  • Abstract
Electrically conductive glass for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) was coated with titanium oxide, after which surface processing was applied to the cells, which were sintered at 450degC using an electrical furnace, for 30 seconds by a DC atmospheric non-thermal plasma jet using nitrogen gas. As a result, the power generation efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cells increased 2% as compared to cells that did not undergo surface processing by a DC atmospheric non-thermal plasma jet. Based on X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS) and spectroscopic measurement, the cause for this is largely influenced by the nitrogen radicals (condition from C3TIu to B3rig) generated by the DC atmospheric non-thermal plasma jet using nitrogen gas, and it was ascertained that the power generation efficiency increased by creating chemical reactions with the titanium oxide surface
