  • Abstract
This paper deals with the design and implementation of a photovoltaic-electro mechanic chain, composed of a PV generator, a DC-DC boost converter and an induction motor controlled by space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM). The PV generator is operated at its maximum power by implementing voltage based maximum power point control algorithm. This maximum power is used to drive a three phase induction motor controlled by space vector pulse width modulation scheme. The algorithms are implemented using PIC18F4550 microcontroller. Experimental results describe the performance of the proposed system.
