Abstract
Noise is the main factor influencing incipient rotor machine failure detection. The weak characteristic signal of fault detected from strong noise is devoted to important attention by the incipient fault diagnosis field in machine. To detect the weak characteristic signal of fault from strong noise, the relationship between the parameters of the control signal and the amplitude of the bistable system output is analyzed. The method of detecting weak signal from noise based on stochastic resonance (SR) driven by two-frequency signals is proposed. The method is applied to detect incipient fault of rotor system. The simulation and experiment results showed that the method is feasible in the application of incipient fault diagnosis in machine.
