  • Abstract
    This paper proposes a residential solar power system using Z-source inverter. The Z-source inverter employs a unique impedance network couple with the solar cell and inverter main circuit. The operating principle, control strategy and characteristics of the system are described. The new and traditional system configurations are compared in this paper. Analysis and simulation results are presented to demonstrate the novelty of features.
