  • Abstract
A simple and cheap sensing system for simultaneous detection of urinary incontinence and its components is introduced. The operation of this sensor was confirmed experimentally. In order to distinguish between normal and abnormal urine, reagent papers are used clinically. The light transmittance of a reagent paper changes by the absorption of urine. This change for normal urine is different from that for diseased urine. In the proposed sensing system this difference in transmittance of the reagent paper is used to detect urinary incontinence and the components of urine simultaneously
