Abstract
The author deals with polymer-concrete insulation, a technically viable, low-cost alternative to energy-intensive porcelain for high-voltage electrical applications both indoors and outdoors. He briefly describes the advances in polymer-concrete insulation made to date and presents new concepts for further utilizing this versatile material advantageously in present and future electric power system applications
