  • Abstract
As a fundamental function of intelligent vehicle, lane-tracking system based on infrared photoelectric sensors faces several problems such as interfere with each other and limited detection range. These problems might cause instability under high speed and sharp turning condition. This paper describes a method to improve the lane-keeping ability of infrared photoelectric sensors based intelligent vehicles. In this method, the detection range and accuracy can be improved by making the sensors follow-up so that detection points are always placed on the target. The vehicle control algorithm is based on the rotation angle of the follow-up sensor system. To simplify the debugging process and make it more efficient, a visual interface simulation and debugging environment is developed. A real trace test is also used to verify the simulation result and make further modification. This method is proved to have some practical value and can be easily realized.
