Aerial and buried cables lightning protection with assistance of earth connection

In this paper are discussed some ways of lightning protection communication cables, such as protective conductor laying close to communication cable and making an earth connection to metal envelope of cable in some points along line. It is touching as aerial or buried optical or electrical with copper cores small-capacity cable. A part of this data was published in Russian, but is unknown to English-speaking specialists.
