Abstract
Direction finding is one of the important aspects of electronic intelligence (ELINT) systems. This paper concentrates on a sample of wideband direction-finding (DF) with accuracy of 5deg rms, using conventional amplitude comparison technique in the X and Ku bands. Determining azimuth angle of arrival as the main task of DF system is affected by some sources of error. This paper addresses different sources of error and determines the amount of error in degrees due to each source and provides solution to compensate for it.
