Abstract
The project achieved the design and implementation of the “system to monitor blood pressure in hypertensive patients using mobile technologies.” This system allow the patient to be in contact with the physician on duty, and who in turn carefully monitor the patient with each of the measurements taken by the affected person, with that, the doctor, could make a diagnosis and establish treatment to follow. The system is based on the Java platform for small-capacity devices and technologies for the web. Mobile software is able to establish http connections to the server and a cell phone sms, store and display patient records graphically. The server application is responsible for storing and displaying data in a clear medical advice. It guarantees an effective diagnosis.
