Abstract
The system characteristics of time division duplex-long term evolution (TDD-LTE) system and different inter-cell interference coordination (ICIC) algorithms are analyzed. Dynamic TDD-LTE system level simulator based on OPNET software is established to investigate the system performances with and without the interference coordination algorithms. Simulation results indicate that adopting the interference coordination algorithms can improve the performance of users in the edge of the cell significantly in the TDD-LTE system. Some recommendations for the central cell radius and power configuration are given. Also, a novel ICIC scheme for VoIP traffic is proposed, and simulation results show its efficiency.
