Preface

The 2012 International Conference on Business Computing and Global Informatization (BCGIn) will again be held in Shanghai, China. This conference is now cosponsored by Shanghai University, Shanghai University of Engineering Sciences, and the University of Kentucky. The aim of BCGIn 2012 is to bring together researchers, educators, and business practitioners in the areas of business computing and global informatization to exchange ideas and explore innovations. The goal of the conference is to advance and promote business computing in the age of global informatization. We emphasize not only the theoretical and practical aspects of business computing and global informatization, but the fundamental scientific and infrastructure aspects of business computing and global informatization as well. In our point of view, without sound scientific foundation and state-of-the-art infrastructure, the talk of business computing and global informatization would be less meaningful.
