Abstract
The electromagnetic compatibility of distribution switchgear installations has to be regarded under two aspects. A possible interference between the components inside a substation must, on the one hand, be considered and, on the other hand, the interaction of the switchgear components with the environment outside the substation should also be taken into account. Both these aspects and their consequences are described in detail. The basic method and measures of achieving electromagnetic compatibility as well as the results of measurements are presented. Particular interest is given to the application of modern, nonconventional current and voltage transformers for medium voltage switchgear
