Abstract
Arbitrary interpolation filters are used to generate new sample values at arbitrary points to replace the existing discrete-time samples. This paper presents a modified polyphase interpolation filter architecture used in sampling rate conversion (SRC). Its novel implementation modification reduced the coefficients storage requirement. The flexible coefficient addressing mode could make the sampling rate converting as arbitrary ratio. And the number of multipliers and adders can be reduced by the serial logic implementation. Results indicate that the proposed algorithm can easily achieve different stopband attenuation performance by changing the interpolation number of polyphase coefficients.
