Abstract
Some large-scale space power applications of superconductivity are discussed, focusing on Indian developments. The review is confined to magnets for fusion reactors, magnetohydrodynamics, and energy storage. The cost of some of the Indian programs is discussed. Pertinent details of Tore Supra of French design are given, since it has a unique refrigeration system using helium-II
