  • Abstract
A new type of GEM with glass insulator, named as Glass GEM, has been developed by HOYA Corp. and SiEnergy Co. Ltd. Basic properties of the gas gain under Ne 90 %+CF4 10 % and Ne 80 %+CO2 20 % and short-term gain stability are reported in this article. We also developed a operation of 100-μm LCP-GEM with deuterium gas. The operation with deuterium gas is required by the reaction study of unstable nuclei, in which the deuteron induced reactions such as (d,d´) and (d,2p) are used to study the giant resonances. The gain measurement of 100-Mm with deuterium gas was performed.
