Abstract
The mutual coupling between two ports of dual slot-coupled circular patch antennas is studied using the spectral domain moment approach. The calculated results agree well with experimental ones. It is clarified that the mutual coupling between two ports decreases as the slot length decreases and the slot offsets are increased. The resonant frequency of the patch antenna should be as close to the resonant frequency of the dominant mode of the circular microstrip disk resonator as possible in order to obtain a CP (circularly polarized) wave with a good axial ratio.<>
