Abstract
Experience with methods to improve the quality of software developed for patient monitoring systems is reviewed. Measures of product quality that are easy to calculate using readily available test data are identified. Improvements in product quality measures that have been observed over time are discussed. Recommendations are made concerning techniques for improving product quality that can be applied to product development organizations
