Abstract
Typical HV reactor applications are discussed, and a recent installation at the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) is detailed, including the basis for reactor selection and substation considerations. The objective is to provide utility engineers with an overview that will allow them to apply modern dry type reactor technology as a solution to a growing problem on modern power systems
