Abstract
In this paper, a new trust evaluation model in open network was advanced based on optimal search theory. The OSTEM (optimal search trust evaluation model) was developed to obtain good performance of trust evaluation relying on optimal recommendation paths. An optimal allocation strategy of search resources based on prior probability distribution of target, detection function and time limite was proposed in OSTEM to get reliable recommenders and optimal recommendation paths within time limite. The simulation results show that, OSTEM can provide relatively accurate trust decision, and compared to the existing trust models, OSTEM has remarkable enhancements in the efficient of trust evaluation.
