  • Abstract
This paper presents an educational experience based on collaborative learning techniques. As its central activity, students participated in the resolution of a potential end of semester examination. Furthermore, in addition to the typical strategies of this didactic methodology, and also as an important part of this experience, transversal competences, such as oral and written communication, have been exercised. Moreover, resources and activities usually provided by virtual campus, such as Forums and Wikis, were fostered. Finally students were also involved in assessment tasks. Although the main conclusion is that prior knowledge of the wording of the final exam has not been a guarantee of good results; analysis of the different elements involved in the experience, and how students have participated in them, provide us with material for reflection and improvement of the teaching practice.
